The Dream Squad PodCast

The NYC DOE's Dream Squads are teams of 3+ educators within public schools, formed to create welcoming, inclusive environments and offer crucial support for multilingual, immigrant, and undocumented students and their families, focusing on leadership, preparedness, student engagement, and family involvement to ensure belonging and success. These squads receive training and resources to address the specific needs of newcomers, promoting well-being and future goals through tailored school-wide strategies and policies, says the NYC Department of Education.

One of the primary beliefs at HSWC is that language and literacy equals access. PodCasting is a medium through which HSWC students practice their English read, writing, listening and speaking in order to benefit their individual future and larger community.
